Recently I had an opportunity to work with this great girl from Two Harbors High School. She was sweet and fun and picked an amazing location in Duluth for her Senior photos. Shelby is a fellow photog. She has a passion for nature photography and has spent a lot of time capturing scenes in this area. I loved that she knew exactly what she wanted to include in the scenery for her photos.
Shelby is enjoying her summer with family and spending time on her hobbies. She has read more in one summer than I have in my entire life! She also loves the time she gets to play in the Two Harbors Community Band.
Two Harbors is a small town. While working with Seniors the past couple years, I’ve met more than one that has sadly had to go through a really difficult loss last year. I always ask people if they want the bands they wear on for their photos, for Shelby it was a firm yes. Her bracelets, the one that’s visible and the one tucked underneath, carry important messages. One is a suicide text hotline, offering people who a struggling a place to reach out. The other, “See it. Say it. Stop it.” is an anti-bullying message to encourage people to speak up about bullying. I think Shelby’s passion for these causes says a lot about her character.
Shelby is a great girl, one that I am quite certain will do great things one day. Thank you for letting me be your photographer, Shelby. I really enjoyed meeting you!
