Downtown Fashion Session

Marshall School Senior Jordyn 1 Beauty on even the dreariest of Duluth days.  This is Jordyn giving us a taste of modern fashion senior photography in downtown in Duluth, MN.  She is an amazing young lady who took time out of her weekend to model for me in Downtown Duluth.   Apricot Lane completely outfitted Jordyn for this session.  Here she is wearing a gorgeous sweater and scarf to match.  By the way, if you like scarves, Apricot Lane has a great selection!  I love all things grey and this scarf is awesome because it just pulls over your head, no twisting, flipping or tying required.

The leafy lawn at City Hall made for a great contrast with Jordyn’s awesome jewelry, also courtesy of Apricot Lane.  They seriously have everything you need to complete your look!

Now let’s talk hair and makeup.  I strongly encourage my Seniors to consider getting their makeup done professionally.  Especially if they don’t normally wear much makeup.  Here’s why, professionals like Emily Modin with   Language of Hair can really make a difference.  I asked Emily to play things up a little with Jordyn’s makeup since this was a fashion shoot.  I love how her eyes look, they really pop but are not overdone.  Emily made sure Jordyn and her mom were comfortable with her look.  Emily also did Jordyn’s hair for this session.  I love that it’s natural but still styled.  Beautiful.

Everything in this outfit, right down to the shoes, is from Apricot Lane .  This dress is one of my favorites!  I may need to own it if there are any left…

Winter has just started, but I’m so anxious to start Senior sessions again!  This year I plan to incorporate vendors into my sessions to help students get that really special look for their session.  Can’t wait!
